The Pentedattilo Film Festival hosts Musicofilia, a music band from the extreme tip of Calabria, which has distinguished itself for its originality and evocative power within the panorama of music in the Mediterranean basin.

The historical and cultural value of the Greek-Calabrian language, the experimental use of traditional instruments provided with a contemporary musicality and the desire to give voice to all the minorities represent the essence of Musicofilia. The albums Veni Jornu (2005) and Senti (2009) have been important steps for a musical project which includes songs in Italian language and dialect and songs in Greek Calabrian, borrowed from the evocative sounds of the Grecanic area. A journey of rediscovery, the Mediterranean millennial musical culture is reinterpreted with a contemporary sound with the support of extraordinary artists. They continue to search for new ways to bring the Greek roots of Calabria and the sounds of this area into the limelight.
