Saleh Nass

JURY

Saleh Nass is a producer, director, editor and screenwriter living between London and Bahrain. He has made several short films: GAME (2012, in collaboration with master filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami), Central Market (2014) and PickUp (2015), with which he was selected in over fifty festivals including Tampere Film Festival (Finland), Slamdance Film Festival (USA) , Montreal World Film Festival (Canada) and TIFF Kids in Toronto, Canada. He was also producer and editor of the first film made entirely in Bahrain, the award-winning THE SLEEPING TREE by Mohammed R. Buali, (2014). As a screenwriter, he has written several feature films, DAYS OF GRACE (in development) about a young stateless man's escape from Beirut, (the screenplay was written under the guidance of Peter Ansorge - former head of Drama, Channel 4- at the National Film and Television School) AC WALLAH (in production) the tragic story of an Indian AC technician in Bahrain whose disastrous circumstances lead him to kill his debtor. As a producer, he founded Elements Film with Chaker Ben Yahmed, a director and cinematographer, which in a few years became a benchmark for international productions shooting in the Middle East. Elements Film produces numerous TV series and TV specials for Netflix, Al Arabiya and Bahrain Television. They produced the program “Shrayha Alia?”, winner of the prestigious GCC Television Awards.
